Classic Hardwood Maintenance will keep your floors looking beautiful and extend their lifespan with our deep cleaning, maintenance recoating, and stain correction services. No invasive sanding. No extended downtime.

Deep Cleaning

Before anything else, the floor gets a thorough cleaning with professional-grade products and machines to remove dirt, wax, and any residue that’s built up over time. This isn’t a mop-and-go situation. Contaminants left on the surface will compromise everything that comes after it, so we don’t cut corners here

Buffing

Depending on the type of finish already on your floor and the condition, this step is not always required.

Once the floor is clean, we use professional abrasives to lightly scuff the existing finish. This opens up the surface of some finishes and gives everything that follows something to grip — without removing the finish entirely or taking any wood off the floor.

It is possible that some very minor surface level scratches are removed at this stage.

Chemical Adhesion

With the surface prepped, we apply Loba’s 2K Contact, a two component primer that chemically bonds to the existing finish. Most buff and coat services skip this step entirely to save time and money. It’s what separates a coating that lasts from one that peels, flakes, or wears unevenly down the road.

Stain Correction

If your floor has minor discoloration or you’re looking to shift the tone slightly darke, we can mix waterborne stain directly into the finish to help even things out. We’ll always discuss expectations with you beforehand, results vary depending on the existing finish, wood species, and the nature of the discoloration.

Coating

This is where it all comes together. We apply Loba’s 2k Duo (Formerly Supra A.T.), a ceramic reinforced waterborne finish for a result that’s durable, clean looking, and designed to last. No heavy fumes, no days long dry time. Just a beautiful floor you can get back to quickly.
